I was offer a job at Target 3 wks ago after submitting drug test. Today i just received a letter saying that Target can not provide me employment because the report showed no trace of me. I looked at the copy of my report and found out that they put my first name in place of my last name and my last name in my first name. I guess this is the reason why Target has no information about me. Since this was not my fault because when i applied i carefully checked everything, so anyone can give me an advice what to do?Should i talk to Choicepoint or Target? Do i have to re-apply at Target?

I would speak with the person who recruited you (did your interview, or made the offer). They will be the person most invested. Unfortunately, they may hire someone else in the meantime if you delay.
If you can’t get hold of your contact, try calling and asking for the Human Resources dept, or the person repsonsible for background checks. You should be able to get it straightened out. Just be very professional and polite so they want to help you.
I would definitely call someone
