I had a secret clearance in the Army but when i was dischared it was closed so my question is when they do the background check on me will they be able to see that i was discharged because of failing a urinalysis or will they just see the discharge general under honorable i really need help with this as its a great paying job for a federal company requiring a secret clearance

Did you disclose it - - tell them about it? That will help, it the “surprises” that they don’t like. Depend on how in depth they go with the background check they may stumble across it, and its always better to be honest and have a chance to explain.
If they require a secret clearance they will most likely look into your military record. They are federal, so I am guessing they have full access. Most likely they will find it.
if your DD214 says you received a general discharge then that could be anything, so they will requisition your service record in detail. But a failed piss test wont necessarily bar you from employment.
